“An Historic Look at the Former Gravenhurst Police Department”

Jim Wouters, retired as the Chief Municipal Law Enforcement Officer after 30 years and is a member of the Canadian Police Insignia Collectors Association.  Mr. Wouters has authored the book, “a brief history of the Gravenhurst Police Department’.

‘All he had to start out with was some names on the back of a photograph — one of the last ones taken of the Gravenhurst police department. When he was given the photograph at a meeting, he decided to investigate who the officers in the image were and what stories they had. Now, he has a 117-page book published about the force’.
