Just came from attending the Waterloo Regional Police Insignia Collectors Show hosted by Henry Gacparski. It was a 5star plus show with many vendors and collectors in attendance. Thanks Henry Gacparski for another GREAT show! These shows are really a must attend. There are many benefits in attending a show. The prices are reasonable and you don't pay for shipping, or taxes and fees if you are an eFee buyer. But the greatest benefit is meeting fellow collectors and learning from each other. Support your local shows. AND FURTHER, join CPICA (Canadian Police Insignia Collectors Association which has a FB page. CPICA is a must have reference tool for collecting.

It was a great show and as you mentioned Jim, a good opportunity to meet other collectors and learn a few things. I was able to pick up an authentic Mississauga Police Sgt Badge and at the same time found one of the fakes that circulate within the hobby. I was able to show these to several newer collectors and offer some tips on how to spot fakes.
