Saturday, October 6, 2018. City of Ripon Community Center The 33rd Northern California Law Enforcement Collectors Show and the Menlo Park and Ripon Police Emergency Vehicle Show and Law Enforcement Recruitment Fair will be held at the Ripon Community Center, Ripon, CA, on Saturday, October 6, 2018. Ripon is located 65 miles south of Sacramento on Highway 99. Collector show hosts are Mike Lynch and Brian Smith. The vehicle show is hosted by Darryl Lindsay. The shows are fund raisers for the Concerns of Police Survivors (COPS), the California State Parks Anniversary Committee, the California Law Enforcement Historical Society (CLEHS) and the Ripon Police VIPS. The shows are sponsored by the International Police Association (IPA) Region 29 and the Ripon Police Department. There are 52, eight foot by 36 inch tables available for collectors at $30.00 each. Display tables are $15.00 each. To ensure your requested table placement, reserve your table early. Free Admission. Show time is 0900 to 1400. Table holders only setup starts at 0800. The show is named in memory of Doug Messer, one of the original hosts of the show, who passed away in October 2009. Show hosts are Mike Lynch, Brian Smith and Phil Jordan. This location has hosted two previous National shows. The first in 1995 with 262 tables that had an estimated 1700 collectors attend and then again in 2000 with 347 tables they drew an estimate of 2200 collectors the convention center. The 2018 show will be held on Friday July 27th, Saturday July 28th and Sunday July 29th. Set up is scheduled to be 13:00 - 17:00 on Friday. Show hours are 09:00 - 17:00 Saturday and 09:00 - 15:00 Sunday. Tables are the standard eight (8) foot rectangular style. General show admission is $6.00 per day. Table holder Pre-registration will begin in June 2017. Table cost will be $75.00 each (This includes one table holder and assistant) that is reserved and paid for by December 31, 2017. After that date, table cost will be $85.00 each.

Visitors can expect lots of law enforcement patches and badges for sell or trade. You will also be able to find historic uniforms, hats, equipment, toys and much more. In addition to law enforcement memorabilia collectors will also find fire and rescue memorabilia. Again, an award will be presented to the Most Unique Display at Show. Registration fee will be $17.00 (PER TABLE) via Ebay, 15 otherwise. Register early if more than 2 tables are needed. Lunch will be provided for table holders and one guest. Walk-in guest will be admitted to the show free of charge.
