  3. Meant to post this much sooner but may still be news to some. The Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources changed their name in 2014 to now be the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources & Forestry.......Only patches I am aware of issued as of yet that reflects this name change are the 2015 series of hunting patches they issued last Fall. So just a heads up to expect/need to collect all over again once available their Conservation Officer, Park Warden etc patches with the new Ministry name on them as I assume they will eventually come out with.     Halton Region Ontario Police Day 10am-2pm

    Halton Region Police Day (10:00am to 2:00pm) As part of building effective partnerships with members of Halton Region's diverse and growing community, the Halton Regional Police Service of Ontario holds numerous special public events throughout the year. The events are designed to appeal to people of all ages and interests and to enhance understanding between the public and the police. Popular among these is Police Day, held annually on the second Saturday in May at Police Headquarters. This year's Police Day will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2015 (rain or shine) from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. The theme for this year is "Community Mobilization." Police Day is also Prescription Drug Drop-Off Day and a table will be setup so members of the community can drop off their expired and potentially dangerous prescriptions. The day-long celebration of policing in Halton Region offers visitors an opportunity to learn first-hand about law enforcement through a series of interactive displays and presentations. Opening ceremonies will begin at 11:00 a.m. sharp. Highlights and activities of the day will include: Tactical rescue demonstrationsChildren's Safety Village toursHRPS Pipes & DrumsInteractive displaysChildren's ridesLive bandsBBQIndoors, guests will be treated to numerous booths with information about emergency services,diversity, and volunteering and recruiting opportunities.
