Metropolitan Rangers?

Question

Rob MacInnis

Hi all, I took this badge on a trade going on 20 years ago. I have never been able to identify it. It is hallmarked Scully. I sent a scan to Will Scully and spoke to him on the phone. He was not able to identify it. He thought it may be affiliated with Montreal Police but really did not know. Thanks.

Ok, so it will not allow me to upload an image. It is a large beaver top silver sheild with pin back. It has two reverse enamel panels (top) Metropolitan (bottom) Rangers. There is no center panel or attachment. I can email a pic if needed. Cheers.

Maybe you can ask to the Montréal Police museum. You will find it on the web.

Hi Rob... to post a photo... please make sure it is less than 1600 pixels square in size.  Images larger than this will be rejected due to restricted storage availability.  To add a photo to your post, there is a section on the posting form (at the bottom of the text input area) that displays a paper clip.  You can drag a photo from Windows Explorer (or other OS file manager) and drop it on this section... there is also a "Choose files..." link that will allow you to attach a photo.
Hope this helps,
Mike

Thanks Mike, I tried all different sizes and it just wouldn't take it. I can email it to anyone who wants to see it.

Thanks,

Hi Rob, didn't see any inadvertant restrictions on your account and the image is 640x480 ... so shoulda worked... I've attached it here using the Google Chrome browser.  If you were using Internet Explorer... try switching to FireFox or Chrome and see if it works?

Not sure... the image looks like it was 62kb in size... so it shouldn't have been too large to upload.   If it happens again... drop me a note.
Regards,
Mike
