I came across the 2 attached patches. Just looking for history of the both if possible

403 (City of Calgary) Hel OTS (Helicopter Operational Training Squadron) stationed at CFB Gagetown currently operates the CH-146 Griffon in the operational training role.

To follow what was said by "aha309", these specific patches are worn on their flight suits or flight jackets. All flight and ramp members, within the squadron will wear the 403 patch on their right shoulder, while wear the circle Griffin on their left. This also goes for all members in the RCAF who operate or maintain the the Griffin. 

Just as the RCAF has a traditional patch for every Squadron, there is also a 2nd unit patch that can worn on our flight suits and jackets. It just depends what your role is, but more so what the orders of the day are. For example, attached below is the second 403 squadron patch.
