The Greater Cleveland Peace Officers Society Weekend
Date: Thursday May 17, 2018 to Sunday May 20, 2018
Many events will be held during this weekend everyone is invited to participant in any or all events.
FREE TRANSPORTATION IS PROVIDED TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT BUS/TRAIN DEPOTS TO ALL EVENTS!!
Police Collectors Show, Saturday May 19, 2018 10am - 3pm
One of the main events of interest is the Police Collectors Show.
This event will be held on Saturday May 19 it will be held at the Double Tree Hotel located at 1111 Lakeside Ave Cleveland, Ohio 44114.
Table holders can arrive as early as 8am- for setup.
Host of the show is John Kasinecz (John has been in and out of the hospital for 3 years with health conditions, one of them causing blindness but is feeling much better now)
Hotel Reservations
Rooms are available at the Hampton Inn located at 1460 East 9th St. Cleveland, Ohio 44114.
To reserve a room call the hotel directly at 216-241-6600.
Hampton Inn rates are $129 a night for a total of $150.29 with tax.
Rates include free breakfast and free wi-fi.
Free transportation from the Hampton Inn to all events provided by the Memorial Society.
DoubleTree Hotel Reservations can be made via telephone at 216-241-5100.
Room rates are $125 a night for a total of $145.26 with tax.
THURSDAY May 17, 2018: Welcome
Welcome Reception Meet and greet old friends and make new ones while everyone is arriving or join us for the welcome reception held later in the evening at one of Cleveland's night spots.
FRIDAY May 18, 2018: Memorial Parade/Service
A parade of hundreds of uniformed officers from the U.S. and Canada will be marching from the hotel to the Memorial site where the Memorial Service will be held,. Readings of the officers killed in the line of duty from the U.S. and Canada will be read. DRESS UNIFORMS ARE REQUESTED.
Immediately following the service, a !!!FREE!!! luncheon will be provided by the FOP lodge 8 [FOP local police union].
Friday evening, a steak roast will be held at the CPPA hall [the other police union hall].
SATURDAY May 19 Police Collectors Show

TATTOO will be later in the evening and everyone is invited to attend the Concert/Tattoo.
Pipes & Drums, bands,and performers from the U.S. and Canada perform.
This is a fundraiser for the Memorial Society to maintain the Memorial, provide support officers survivors, and provide scholarships to students entering college.
SUNDAY May 20 Memorial Mass/Breakfast
This concludes the weekend. A Memorial Mass will be held for all officers killed in the line of duty.
Dress uniforms are requested. Following the Mass a breakfast will be served (if you have breakfast here you WILL NOT be going home hungry)
